During the November Board of Trustees meeting, several Joshua ISD students and staff members were recognized for their recent accomplishments.
Joshua High School Choir
The board recognized Joshua High School's Choir students who competed in the Region 30 competition for placement into the Region Choirs. The following students placed in the following choirs:
Honor Choir– Anna Grace Doyel, Natalie Duffin, Hunter Frisina, Emmaleigh Lewis, Jaelyn McKinney and Julia Pena.
District Treble Choir– Vanity Rodriguez
Region Mixed Choir– Lily McClendon
Loflin Middle School Choir
The board recognized Loflin Middle School Choir students Jacqueline Schriver and Julian Lake for making the All-Region choir for middle school.
Nichols Middle School Choir
The board recognized Nichols Middle School Choir students Dylan Lummus, Elijah Weatherly, Donovan Harris, and Shelby Horn for making the All-Region choir for middle school.
Nichols Middle School 7th Grade Volleyball A Team
The board recognized the Nichols Middle School 7th grade A team volleyball players for their undefeated season placing them as District Champions. Players recognized – Jolie Cox, Braedyn Holland, Lauren Jones, Madilyn Lacey, Kenlee Mason, Zaylee Masters, Faith Rice, and Ruby Vincent.

The board recognized the Nichols Middle School 7th grade B team volleyball players for their 2nd place finish in Quad County. The board recognized the Nichols Middle School 8th grade B team volleyball players for their 1st place finish in Quad County. Players recognized – Jazmyne Brown, Allison Cotton, Keira Cumins, Audrina Garza, Harley Goeringer, Aubreigh Peveto, Rylee Stapleton, Shyanne Strawn, and Avery Tucker.
Loflin Middle School 8th Grade Volleyball A Team
The board recognized the Loflin Middle School 8th grade A team volleyball players for their undefeated season placing them as District Champions. Players recognized – Ava Abbott, Delaney Dickinson, Allison McIntosh, Kate Colbert, Lilli Smith, Addison Litke, Natalia Belisle, and Evi Walker.

Joshua High Varsity Volleyball Team
The board recognized the players from the JHS 2021 Varsity Volleyball team for their successful season. This group finished 3rd in district and were bi-district finalists in the playoffs. Players recognized – Brooke Walker, Harlie Hughes, Payton Koller, Lauren Scott, Rylie Rumfield, Peyton Cole, Skyler Brooks, Brooke Mason, Ashleigh Duke, Peyton Abbott, Skyler Hutto, Leah Mendoza, Cloey Dress, Gabriella Maldonado, Grace Walker, Grace Wigginton, and Calley Liles.
