Senior Runner Nathan Ford Places 56th in State Cross Country Meet
History was made for the Joshua High School Men's Cross Country team on Monday.
Senior Runner Nathan Ford competed in the State Cross Country Meet held in Round Rock, and placed 56th out of the 122 best runners in Texas! Ford's time in the 5K race was 16:16. He is the first JHS runner to compete in state in the last two decades, and possibly ever in school history.
"This was about as fast a state meet as I have ever seen, and Nathan acquitted himself well," said Cross Country Coach Jeff Brooks. "Anyone who finishes in the top half of the state meet is pretty fast. Nathan is as solid a person and role model as anyone could hope to coach. He loves it, he cares, and he is a great teammate. I look forward to seeing him finish the rest of his senior year strong in track!"
