On March 23, Nichols Middle School students heard from guest speaker Yvonne Williams who taught them about the value of resiliency.

Ms. Williams, from the Grant Halliburton Foundation, presented the Bounce Back program, which focuses on the vital elements of resiliency and how students can use them to foster a mindset of confidence and perseverance.

She also provided students with skills and tools to overcome adversity, including shifting how they think about challenges in life. She told them setbacks could be building blocks for resilience and opportunities to grow as a person.
