JISD Board Approves Hire of Police Lieutenant, Nurse Coordinator
During the August regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting Monday, the Joshua ISD Board unanimously voted the hires of two new administrators.
James Novian was approved as Lieutenant for the Joshua ISD Police Department. Lt. Novian will be stationed at Elder Elementary. He comes to JISD from the City of Maypearl, where he was the Chief of Police for the Maypearl Police Department. Prior to being a Chief, Lt. Novian was a Detective for the Johnson County Sheriff's Office's Crimes against Children/Crimes against Person Division, as well as a Detective for the Sheriff's Office's Fraud and Financial Crimes/Property Crimes Division.
Lt. Novian has earned nine law enforcement awards since 2008 and holds several certifications.
Tasha Estes was approved as the Coordinator of Nurses. She will oversee campus nurses and lead Health Services initiatives.
Ms. Estes was previously at Burleson Centennial High School as a Nurse. Prior to that, she served as the District Lead RN in Alvarado ISD. She also spent time as a Nurse in Texas Health Resource Presbyterian in Denton and Weatherford Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Estes holds several certifications and earned her B.S. in Nursing from Tarleton State University.
