Novian named JISD Police Chief

James Novian has been officially named Chief of the Joshua ISD Police Department, removing interim from his previous title. He is stationed at Plum Creek Elementary.

Novian has served as the JISD Police Lieutenant since the fall of 2022. Before joining JISD, he was the Chief of Police for the City of Maypearl Police Department. Prior to his time in Maypearl, he was a detective for the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in the Crimes Against Children/Crimes Against Person Division and the Fraud and Financial Crimes/Property Crimes Division.

Since 2008, he has earned nine law enforcement awards and several certifications.
