NJROTC cadet selected as recipient of Legion of Valor's Bronze Cross of Achievement
The Legion of Valor has chosen senior Joshua Navy JROTC cadet Brooklyn Reames as a Bronze Cross of Achievement recipient!
The award is the highest honor a cadet can receive, given to only 50 high school or college cadets nationally each year. The Legion of Valor is a fraternal organization of Medal of Honor and Service Cross recipients.
During her time in NJROTC, Cadet Reames was the unit operations officer and a platoon commander. This year, she is the commanding officer and captains the rifle team. Cadet Reames is an Honors student with numerous offers to shoot for top colleges.
Master Chief Donald Mason, a corpsman who received the Navy Cross for his heroism in aiding Marines under fire in Korea, will present the award to Cadet Reames at the Navy Ball on October 2.
Cadet Reames is the latest in a long line of Joshua cadets to earn this distinction, becoming the 13th Joshua cadet since 2008 to earn the award.
