Lady Owls Soccer on to the Area round of playoffs
The Lady Owls Soccer team is moving on to the area round!
The squad took down last year's state champion Grapevine in a defensive battle that finished 0-0 after regulation and two extra periods and went to a shootout. The Owls earned the victory by putting home four penalties and taking their 10th Bi-District crown in the last 11 playoff campaigns.
Head Coach Jeff Brooks is proud of the work ethic and perseverance the Owls displayed during the thrilling match.
"Our ladies played so, so hard tonight against a superb team," Brooks said. "There's a reason they won the state title last year, and we knew it was going to take everything to knock them off."
Next up for the Lady Owls is the Region I Area matchup against Northwest out of District 5-5A. The match is at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at Boswell High School's Pioneer Stadium.
