JISD Leadership Updates
During this week’s school board meeting, incumbent trustee Nini Wilson was officially sworn in and took the oath of office as she continues serving on the JISD Board of Trustees. Ronnie Galbreath, also an incumbent, was sworn in earlier this month as he was unable to attend the meeting.
The board also completed its annual reorganization. Mrs. Wilson will now serve as Board President, Kevin Lee will serve as Vice President, and Cody Lee will serve as Board Secretary.

We also want to recognize and thank Mr. Galbreath for his outstanding leadership and service as JISD Board President since 2008. His leadership has positively impacted Joshua ISD in countless ways, and we are grateful that he will continue serving our students and community as a member of the board.

We appreciate all of our trustees for their continued dedication and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities and an enriching educational environment for our students.
Additionally, the board approved Marlie Mobley as the new Assistant Principal at Loflin Middle School.
Mrs. Mobley brings a wealth of experience to Joshua ISD, having served in Palacios ISD, Mansfield ISD, Waxahachie ISD, and Crowley ISD. Throughout her career, she has taught high school CTE and AVID courses and has served as an assistant principal at both the elementary and middle school levels. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. We are excited to welcome her to the Owl family.

Finally, with the retirement of Toby Cox, JISD Chief of Police James Novian will assume the district’s safety and security responsibilities.
