JISD celebrates first IWU graduates in the RISE Program

Joshua ISD is dedicated to developing our own educators, which is reflected in our Recruiting, Inspiring, and Shaping Educators (RISE) Program!

We are thrilled to announce that the five members of the first RISE Program cohort have all graduated with bachelor's degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University and are now on their way to completing the Teachworthy Certification Program to become fully certified teachers!

Congratulations to Crystal Copelen, Maria Ibarra, Jessica Richardson, Jennifer Rodgers and Crystal Villanueva!

In partnership with Indiana Wesleyan University and the Teachworthy Certification Program, this opportunity provides a pathway for current paraprofessionals in the district to earn a bachelor's degree from IWU and become future teachers with JISD, all at a minimal cost to them.
