JHS Tennis celebrates milestone title and strong finish at tournament
Friday, March 6 was a big day for Joshua High School Tennis!
In the inaugural Texas Tennis Coaches Association (TTCA) Wheelchair State Championship, Jeremy Perez won the tournament after taking on some of the most talented wheelchair players in the state and nation. According to the TTCA, this was the first high school state wheelchair tennis tournament in the nation. Perez is ranked second in the nation in high school wheelchair tennis.
Despite a break in play due to weather, the varsity tennis squad rallied and served up success at the Stephenville Tournament! Thomas Cowan took second place in the boys' singles, while Nevaeh Fielder won the girls' singles consolation and Logan Fielder and Ayden Jalali won the boys' doubles consolation.
