JHS swimmers break school records and personal best at North Dallas TISCA Championships
Joshua High School swimmers achieved school records, personal bests and several top results this past weekend at the North Dallas TISCA Championships!
Donald Palmer finished on the podium in the 200 free and 100 fly, earning second place in both events.
Sohpia Bustillos had a fantastic meeting, posting a 59.08 in the 100 free, which set a new school record and personal best. She became the first female JHS swimmer to break one minute in the event. She also swam a 2:15.22 in the 200 free for a new school record and personal best.
The girls' 200 free relay of Avery Farrell, Aubree Moore, Olivia Durfey and Sophia Bustillos set a new school record of 1:52.90 while finishing fourth.
The girls' 400 free relay of Avery Farrell, Zoe Smith, Olivia Durfey and Sophia Bustillos set a new school record with a 4:19.62 and came in seventh.
Ayden Jalali set personal bests in the 50 free and 100 free.
The boys' 200 free relay (Ayden Jalali, Emilio Garcia, Darren Durfey and Donald Palmer) placed 11th with a time of 1:42.35.
