JHS StuCo earn National and State honors

For its exemplary record of leadership, service and activities that improve the school and community, the Joshua High School Student Council has been recognized as a 2026 National Gold Council of Excellence by the National Association of Student Councils! This is the highest honor a council can receive at the national level. 

The JHS StuCo was also recognized by the Texas Association of Student Councils as a Sweepstakes School for the 2025-26 school year, having earned the Energy & Environment Award, the DASH Award, the Pride and Patriotism Award, the Community Service Award and the Outstanding Student Council honor. Sweepstakes is the highest commendation a council can receive at the state level.
