JHS baseball shines on the diamond, earns load of District awards

After an exceptional season, the Joshua High School Owl baseball team earned numerous District 8-5A awards!

Jaxson Philpot earned Pitcher of the Year, Nate Chittum fielded his way to Defensive MVP, Hank Berkner swung the bat well and earned Offensive MVP and Landon Lillagore was named Newcomer of the Year!

Cooper Bosher, Gavin Massey and Cody Rogers were chosen for the First Team and Thomas Rodriguez and Hunter Strebeck received Second Team honors. 

Oakley Boatman, Bosher, Kade Boone, Casen Cobb, Tre Everett, Xavier Grijalva, Lilldagore, Massey, Philpot and Rogers were all named to the District Academic Team as well. Boatman and Massey earned spots on the THSCA Academic All-State First Team.

Finally, head coach Albert Carrizales was named the District Coach of the Year!
