2024-26 UIL Reclassification and Realignment
Joshua High School Athletics will see familiar foes and some new ones after the University Interscholastic League unveiled its biennial Reclassification and Realignment for 2024-2026.
The Owls will continue to compete in two competitive districts for the next two years.
In football, JHS will be in Class 5A Division 1 District 7 and take on:
• Burleson Centennial
• Cleburne
• Dallas Highland Park
• Lufkin
• Midlothian
• Red Oak
• Tyler
In all other sports, the Owls will be in Class 5A District 8 and face:
• Arlington Seguin
• Burleson
• Burleson Centennial
• Cleburne
• Everman
• Mansfield Summit
• Mansfield Timberview
This process occurs every two years based on enrollment figures determined by the UIL.
"I am excited about moving into a new district as well as renewing the friendly rivalry game with Cleburne," JISD Athletic Director and JHS Head Football Coach Danny DeArman said.
