Welcome  to English III and World Mythology!  2020-2021 will be a great year despite the current pandemic, and I am excited to get to know my students. Whether you are a face to face student or a virtual student, our assignments will be on the computer this year.  We will be a mainly paperless classroom, which is VERY different for me!  I will be learning along with every one of you. Look in your Google Classroom for your assignments, resources and lesson plans.  Parents and students: please feel free to email me at any time for any questions or concerns.  I will get back to you as soon as possible.

On a more personal  note:  This is my eighteenth year teaching English, and my fifteenth year at Joshua High School.  I am certified to teach both English and ESL.  I also teach childbirth education classes at Next Step Women's Center in Burleson.   My husband and I have been married for 37 years, have six wonderful children and eight delightful grandchildren.  All six of our children graduated from JHS!   We love Joshua High School and I am honored to be a teacher on this staff!!

Grading Procedures:  Your grade will be a combination of the following:  34% daily grades;  33% test grades; 33% project grades.  Be sure to turn in ALL of your work. Even unfinished assignments, turned in on their due date, will receive some points - that is much better than receiving a 0 on an assignment. Also, please note that there will be no extra credit given in an attempt to get your grade up at the end of the grading periods.  Show me your effort and do your best on each assignment.  I will always be here to help if you need it.
