    Mrs. Brummer

    All about ME!!

My name is Meredith Brummer and I am your 5th grade math teacher.  This is my third year at Staples Elementary (2020-2021).  Prior to coming to Staples and Joshua ISD, I was a Curriculum and Instructional Specialist in Math and Science at a neighboring district.   I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management and minor in Finance.  Additionaly, I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis on Mathematics.

I am married to my best friend and husband of 16 years, Chad.  We have three beautiful children, Briana (20), Brazos (3) and Harper Rhea (1).  We are animal lovers of all kinds, but currently only have two rescue dogs.

Teaching is a passion for me and I am so excited about this year!

I promise I will work hard to make sure that any gaps created due to the unforseeable circumstance are closed.  We will work together to make sure every child is ready for 6th grade by May 2021!

My Goal for this 5th grade class!

By the end of the 2020-2021 academic school year, ALL 5th grade students at Staples Elementary will meet standards at 70% or above with 50% meeting mastery level as assessed by classroom, district, and state assessments.
