Conference Time: 12:48-1:33Hello!! I am excited to be at Joshua High School and Joshua ISD. I am looking forward to a wonderful year teaching U.S History. This course will focus on United States History, since 1877 and is the second part of a two-year study of U.S. history that begins in Grade 8. The course content is based on the founding documents of the U.S. government, which provide a framework for its heritage. Historical content focuses on the political, economic, and social events and issues related to industrialization and urbanization, major wars, domestic and foreign policies of the Cold War and post-Cold War eras, and reform movements, including civil rights.
Class Supply List:
Each student is required to have:
a 5 subject spiral notebook (I suggest a Mead 5 star spiral with the plastic cover.) or a 1 inch notebook.
blue or black pen
if you are in 1st or 2nd period - a box of kleenex
if you are in 3rd - 2 rolls of tape (scotch tape)
if you are in 5th - glue (sticks or liquid)
if you are in 7th markers
if you are in 8th - map pencils
if you are in 9th - package of construction paper

There is only one person responsible for your academic success, YOU!
Turn in all work, on time, and in the proper place. If you are absent you will be responsible for asking what you missed. I will not track you down.
Treat others and their property as you would like them to treat you and your property
Do not eat, sleep, drink, or groom in the classroom.
Be in class on time.
Come to class ready to learn.
Bring your supplies.
Grading procedures will following the JHS handbook guidelines. Major grades will include (but not limited to) tests, movie reviews and Interactive Notebook grades. Daily grades will include (but are not limited to) Interactive notebook activities, quizzes and vocabulary activities.
