Hello!!I am excited to start a new year!! I teach AP World History and on-level US History. AP World is a survey course that covers from 1200 AD to the present. We end the year with the AP exam through which students have an opportunity to gain college credit.US History will focus on United States History, since 1877 and is the second part of a two-year study of U.S. history that begins in Grade 8. The course content is based on the founding documents of the U.S. government, which provide a framework for its heritage. Historical content focuses on the political, economic, and social events and issues related to industrialization and urbanization, major wars, domestic and foreign policies of the Cold War and post-Cold War eras, and reform movements, including civil rights.Class Supply List:
Each student is required to have:
1 inch notebook.blue or black pen
map pencils

Turn in all work, on time, and in the proper place. If you are absent you will be responsible for asking what you missed. I will not track you down.

Grading Procedures:
Grading procedures will following the JHS handbook guidelines. Major grades will include (but not limited to) tests, movie reviews and Interactive Notebook grades. Daily grades will include (but are not limited to) Interactive notebook activities, quizzes and vocabulary activities.
