School Health Advisory Council and District Wellness

Senate Bill 283 addresses a group of parents, community members, staff, senior citizens, members of clergy and nonprofit health organization representatives approved by the district Board of Trustees to advise the district on coordinated school health programs and student health and learning. Coordinated school health programs address the following 8 areas:

DISTRICT WELLNESS   

The Wellness Plan helps identify how our district works toward meeting goal in the area of healthy lifestyle choices.  It contains goals for our campuses and our district as a whole.  One every three years, the SHAC will evaluate each campus and the district on their progress toward meeting the set goals.
