Screening Calendar

GT Screening Information

JISD screens students two times per year for the gifted and talented program. All nomination packets must be completed and turned in to the campus counselor by the dates listed below to allow adequate planning and processing.  Nomination packets are available through the counselor’s office at each campus. 

Kindergarten screening occurs once a year in December.

2026-2027

September 25-October 6 (packets due to campus counselor by September11th )

November 17-December 4 (Kinder only-packets due to campus counselor by November 13th)

February 16-26 (final screening for the year-packets due to campus counselor by January 29th)
