Kindergarten Screening

The Gifted & Talented program is currently accepting nominations for Kindergarten students enrolled in Joshua ISD schools. These students will be screened for program eligibility during the one-week window from December 3-6.  We offer ongoing screening for grades 1 – 5 throughout the school year.

If you are interested in nominating a student, you may request a packet from the counselor at your child’s campus. Packets need to be completed as soon as possible to allow time for screening during the screening window.  Nomination packets are due at elementary campuses no later than November 29th to be eligible for Kindergarten screening.

Kindergarten students will be screened at their home campus.  Students could be screened in the areas of non-verbal abilities, academics, and creativity. Following a committee review of screenings, parents will be notified by letter regarding placement or non-placement.
