About Mrs. Young
Education is my passion! I truly love being in the classroom and having the opportunity to impact so many children and families. This is my 12th year of teaching, and 3rd year as a Joshua Owl! I have experience in grades 2-6 and a M.Ed. in School Counseling. I am a firm believer in educating the whole child; learning happens when it’s meaningful, engaging and relevant!
I married my husband on 10-10-10 and we moved to Joshua shortly after. We have 3 sons. Sawyer is in 2nd grade here at Elder! Our twin toddlers are a lot of fun and keep us on our toes!
I am a member of Lifepointe church and can be found cheering for my son on a field or court on most weekends. We have a ranch near Glen Rose and enjoy spending time outdoors as a family.
When I am not teaching, chasing twins, or watching sports I enjoy traveling, baking cookies, making crafts, and reading.
