UIL Concert and Sight-reading Competition
The Spirit of Joshua Band programs recently competed in UIL Concert and Sight-reading competitions. We are very happy to announce that every band that competed received a 1st division (Superior rating) in Sight-reading competition. This is the first time that every band brought home a 1st division rating from this contest. In addition, Mr. Foster, conducting the High School Symphonic Band, received the coveted Sweepstakes Award that is earned by receiving a 1st division rating in both concert and sight-reading. This also marks the first ever sweepstakes award for the High School Symphonic Band. Congratulations to all the directors and students for representing JISD in such an outstanding manner.
